This policy explains how Cavanex (“we,” “us”) handles information on cavanex.com. We’re a California-based company, and we keep data collection to a minimum: we don’t load any analytics until you consent, and we don’t sell your personal information.
Analytics consent
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you select Accept, no analytics or session recording runs. If you accept, we enable the tools below and remember your choice (with a timestamp) so we don’t ask again. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.
When enabled, these third-party tools receive your IP address and a device identifier:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — aggregate traffic and page navigation. Privacy policy.
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) — product analytics and session replay (a recording of clicks and navigation). Text typed into form fields is masked and never recorded. Privacy policy.
Information you give us
When you contact us, take the SOC 2 assessment, or submit a form, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email, company, and your message — and use it only to respond and provide what you asked for. We also receive standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and secure the site.
How we share it
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, email), and when required by law.
Retention
We keep information you submit only as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our records. Analytics data follows the retention settings of Google Analytics and PostHog.
Your choices (including California)
You can decline or withdraw analytics consent at any time using the banner. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing — and we don’t sell or share it for advertising.
